The 5 Elements of Life: On the Yoga Mat

Welcome to the 5 Elements...On Your Yoga Mat!

The 5 Elements of Life help us to understand ourselves & the world around us with much more depth.

Let's Take our study of the 5 Elements onto the Yoga Mat & see how this knowledge informs our practice. We could also call this Ayurvedic Yoga - as we will be looking at how the techniques we use bring us toward balance or imbalance - by interacting with our own personal element makeup.

Earth - Water - Fire - Air - Ether

This will be a holistic all-levels practice that incorporates posture, breath, mantra, mudra, and meditation into a full yoga practice.

No prior experience with the 5 Elements is needed...(But if you took the 5 Elements Meditation Series that will give you a great base of information!)

Throughout the class, I will help you to make choices to foster the skill of Self-Regulation. This is a process of understanding yourself, your elements, and how specific practices interact with your elements to create an experience of calm, balance, and focus :)

Each 1 hour Session will have:

15-minute introduction & How that Element shows up on the mat & how we can make choices in our practice to support our own individual balance

40 minute All Levels yoga practice (using props & pose options)

5 minutes Q&A & Sharing

Wednesday July 19th: Air

Sunday, July 23: Ether

Attend Live or watch the recordings provided in the Google Classroom (available for 3 months)

You will also be provided with the supporting PDF materials for download

Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits will be earned for Registered Yoga Teachers
