Over the past several weeks I have been spending LOTS of time outside & I've been reading about Ayurveda (The Sister Science to Yoga- The Science of Life & Health). These two things go together in an interesting way!
Ayurveda is based on the presence of 5 Elements in all things: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Ether, also known as the Tattvas. These elements are found in various ratios in all things & people. It contributes to our likes/dislikes, personality, relationships, choices lifestyle, and health. When our elements are balanced in our own unique way...we are healthy. When they are out of balance we experience different levels of suffering and dis-ease.

If you are familiar with your Ayurvedic Dosha (your mind-body type) you may already know what elements are most predominant in you (but remember you still have all 5). The interesting thing is that in the study of Ayurveda, we often jump right to working with your Dosha without ever fully understanding the elements that comprise them. (what exactly is Ether anyway??... don't worry...I can explain that & it's an interesting one!)

After spending so much time outside, noticing the elements in the world around me, I decided to put together a deeper exploration of the 5 Essential Elements. This is an important stepping stone toward understanding yourself, studying Ayurveda, and becoming more skilled at self-care.
This course will contain both information-based sessions & practice sessions (guided meditation & contemplation). As I finish up my last few days of travel I am hashing out the details & schedule for the course. There will be an option for live sessions or pre-recorded sessions to fit everyone's schedule. More details coming soon!
I will also be getting back to 1:1 sessions at the end of April (yayy!!)
