My NEW Favorite Meditation Book: "Stop Missing Your Life" by Cory Muscara

I've read MANY books on meditation...but I have a new favorite!
"Stop Missing Your Life" by Cory Muscara because it talks about something Ive never seen in any other meditation book & it is KEY to being successful in your meditation practice!

Cory spent 6 months living as a monk (the hard-core type where you only get a few hours of sleep a night & meditate in isolation all day long).
His experience has given him incredible insight- so his book on meditation is not the same old information you have heard over and over.

Cory's book actually talks about the role that pain and trauma can play in our lives & how it can create blocks that we may not even be aware of. Since being human comes with all sorts of painful and traumatic experiences- this is just part of the human experience (that we cant sweep under the rug).
When we become aware of the pain that is limiting us we can work on it. Cory gives specific practices that are very helpful in this process.
For people that struggle to be in the present moment- or find the open space of meditation to feel unsafe- looking at meditation from this angle can be a revelation! There is more to this than just sitting with your legs crossed and "being present".
I highly recommend reading Cory's Book. I also enjoy his podcast: Practicing Human which you can find here. It has short episodes that are easy to fit into your day & you will learn a helpful technique or piece of wisdom in each episode.
